At European Level

NYCI engages at a European level with the European Youth Forum, which also promotes global education. With the launch of the new European Youth Strategy at the end of 2009, NYCI hosted a seminar 'Engaging with Youth and the World - from Policy to Practice' which looked at 'Youth and the World' as a field of action of the European Youth Strategy.

As a member of Dóchas, and the Dóchas Development Education Group (DEG), NYCI's Development Education Project Officer Elaine Mahon represents Dóchas as the Irish platform of CONCORD and their Development Awareness-Raising and Education (DARE) forum.
