NYCI is in the process of convening Global Youth Work forums in several regions around the country. One of the areas that is targeted is the North-East, and in collaboration with Development Perspectives, NYCI will be running an initial meeting of the Global Youth Work Forum in Dundalk on Thursday 25 October 2012.
This initial meeting is targeted at youth workers and others working with young people in the North-East who are interested in bringing global justice and development education into their practice.
The event takes place from 10am – 1pm in Dundalk IT (room to be confirmed).
Lunch will be provided and there is limited reimbursement available for transport for those travelling from outside Dundalk. Please be advised that car parking at Dundalk IT is extremely limited, so participants are encouraged to take public transport to the event.

The Global Youth Work forum will be followed by an afternoon session (2-4pm) on ‘Engaging Local Societies in Sustainable Development’ which was the theme of the Development Education Summer School held in the Czech Republic, June 2012, and run by DEEEP.
