High Level Political Forum 2017
United Nations, New York, 10 - 19 July 2017
The High Level Political Forum is where Member States/Countries of the United Nations get together to update each other on progress made towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
2014 was the 25th year of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Check out a resource on UNCRC for youth workers, youth leaders, youth organisations, youth work students, those who work with young people and for young people themselves. Setting Our Sights on Rights contains games, activities, facts, fun, and links to more information.
Migration & the Sustainable Development Goals
The resource seeks to put the plight of refugees and the drivers of migration into a wider political context with the SDGs as a tool providing insight and authority. The activities challenge young people to be empathetic to the stark reality and perilous journeys facing refugees and migrants, including giving some insight into what it might be like to have to live that reality and make the tough choices facing their fellow human beings every day.
